Julie Sanders has had a life as varied as her designs. She was first in politics and then tried her hand at importing from Morocco, which quickly led to designing her own sportswear line which was carried by leading stores. A few years later she decided to design products for the home and Cyclamen was born in 1982.
Inspiration is everywhere for Sanders- nature, fashion,
modern art, and most recently iconic architecture. Her goal is to bring
style and joy to the table with lively colorful and original design.
She believes strongly that sharing meals with friends and family is one
of life’s great pleasures, which she hopes to enhance with her
Sanders and her designs have been featured in many magazines such as Metropolitan Home, Elle Decor, Bon Appetit, Sunset and many others. Cyclamen product was selected for the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian National Art Museum and she has twice been named to the “Design 100” by Metropolitan Home which selects the top designers in many disciplines related to life style and the home.
Cyclamen is dinnerware, serveware, oven to table, and accessories for the home which combine original shapes and style with terrific durability suitable for restaurant use without the “institutional” look.
The Line is carried by leading stores which include Nordstrom, museum shops, craft and art galleries, gift and tabletop stores and gourmet shops.
Cyclamen is also used by a number of fine restaurants and food service companies who want an original look with the durability the industry needs.
